Custom fields on user profiles
Custom fields can be added to user profiles.
Custom fields are useful for adding extra information like phone numbers and employee ids, on user profiles.
Tutorial Scenario: Add an Employee ID onto the profile of users in the Sales group.
Step 1: Click Groups in the side menu
Step 2: Search and select the group that you would like to apply this custom field to.
Step 3: Next to Custom Fields click Add
Step 4: In the dialogue, name the custom field. In our scenario, we'll name it Employee ID.
Under Type select Text.
Other choices include:
- number e.g. phone number, numeral ids
- switch e.g. yes or no type fields
Step 5: Click OK
Step 7: Under Members tab on the group page, select a user to go to their profile
Step 8: Type into the custom field
